NRPT-TITAN Containers just missed out on first place by a wheel.Two team members, Luke Smith and Eoghan McLoughlan, were in the breakaway from the get go along side two Powerhouse riders. After the first lap, another Powerhouse rider made the jump from the peloton and Ben Walsh went with him. They bridged across to the lead group making it equal standings with three NRPT riders and three Powerhouse Riders. With only 7km to go, Eoghan McLoughlan went taking Brendan Flanagan (Powerhouse) with him. They built up a small advantage but unfortunately with 5km to go they were caught by the other 4. It was cat and mouse from there to the finish line when it all was down to the sprint, with Eoghan finishing in a fine 2nd, Luke in 3rd and Ben in 5th. The rest of the team all finished at the head of the peloton. A good day out for the team. Next team outing is the Gorey 3 Day Easter weekend.
