TITAN was presented with the prize at the finals award ceremony in Copenhagen. Layland is delighted with the result and comments on TITAN future ambitions,

Layland's daughter Anja Maria Plampin (TITAN's Self-Storage Global Brand Manager) received the honour as Owner-Manager of the year on his behalf. Layland was present at the final on a video connection from Dallas, USA.
The Owner Leader of the Year is presented by PwC, Nykredit, Dansk Erhverv and Finans, which is being held for the 19th time with this year's theme being talent and trust. Flemming Eghoff, partner at PwC in Hellerup explains why Layland was awarded,
"Layland is a visionary, passionate and generous owner manager who has his feet firmly planted in the ground, and at the same time the owner manager has achieved eye-catching financial results in recent years. The owner-manager puts action behind his words and is very specific when it comes to recognising his employees"
Adm. director Kim Gulstad in Kirk Kapital sits on the board of TITAN and as a co-owner is close to Layland. Kim Gulstad commented,
"He is a very knowledgeable and passionate owner-manager within his business. Layland Barker has been able to dispose of the entire company on many occasions but clearly wants him and his family to remain majority shareholders. To me, this is a good expression of his commitment and go-ahead, but also a great sense of responsibility towards the employees, whom he wants to thrive,' says Kim Gulstad."
