Restaurant cold storage rental for busy kitchens
Add walk-in cooler or freezer space for a peak, renovation, opening or breakdown without rebuilding your kitchen. TITAN delivers to restaurants across the globe – fast.
Give your kitchen team space to keep working
A restaurant can run out of cold space long before it runs out of ideas. A new menu, holiday service, catering contract or delayed repair can fill the schedule before your chef has had time to change their whites. We provide portable refrigerated containers to restaurants, dark kitchens, bars and diners across the globe wherever and whenever they’re needed. They’ll give you instant cold storage space near the kitchen – keeping ingredients and pre-prepared dishes close to your team. Restaurant walk-in cooler rental is a proven solution for independent restaurants, hotels, multi-site operators, commissaries, venues and temporary foodservice locations. Clients worldwide use our cold storage containers to support everything from pop-up restaurants to major catering projects. TITAN’s ArcticStore units help during:
- Equipment failure: protect stock while the main cooler or freezer is repaired.
- Renovation: keep service running while you replace or upgrade your existing kitchen refrigeration.
- Peak trading: add room for holidays, events or a seasonal menu.
- New openings: bridge the gap between first deliveries and the final permanent setup.

From a 10ft cooler to high-volume freezer space
Our signature ArcticStore model is the starting point for most restaurants. It is available in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft sizes and maintains any setpoint within its -40°C to +45°C operating range. That means the same unit comfortably handles chilled or frozen storage. The 10ft model is useful when space is tight, but a cabinet fridge isn’t enough. A 20ft unit gives a larger kitchen meaningful walk-in capacity. A 40ft model can support a hotel, commissary or high-volume venue. If several departments need a single, extra-large cold room, we can build an Arctic SuperStore to your exact specifications. These combine multiple units into an open-plan installation. We’ve made them as big as 8,000 square feet – and can go bigger. SuperStores can also be zoned: we’ll help you set up chilled and frozen areas in separate spaces if required.
Rent for the dates that matter – and avoid expensive mistakes
A permanent cold room is a long commitment. Rental doesn’t require such significant up-front financing and is ideal for a known event window, a refurbishment program or an uncertain first season. It also avoids the potentially costly mistake of building lots of capacity before you know how much you need. Our flexible rental terms accommodate both short-term and extended needs – and we provide maintenance for your restaurant walk-in freezer rental as part of the agreement. If the business grows, talk to us about a larger model or another container instead of forcing more stock into the same space.
Place storage where staff can use it
Proper positioning onsite improves both service speed and safety. A unit that’s too far from the kitchen means extra steps. A container that blocks deliveries or emergency routes creates another problem. Before getting a quote, consider:
- Power: the correct electrical supply and a protected cable route.
- Surface: you need a level, load-bearing area with suitable drainage.
- Delivery: enough space for the truck to place and later collect the unit.
- Staff access: safe lighting, door clearance and a practical route for carts.
- Neighbors: sensible placement where equipment noise and door activity cause the least disruption.
Ramps and shelving can be included if needed. Tell us how goods arrive and how staff retrieve them so we can plan a setup around your actual usage.

Know what’s happening after closing time
Almost all our cold storage units support SmartArctic datalogging. This provides 24/7 operational temperature visibility, configurable alarms, downloadable history and remote diagnostics from a phone, tablet or desktop. SmartArctic can alert your authorized team to a change without waiting for the next shift. Its downloadable history adds useful operating evidence to the food-safety checks and temperature records you already keep.
Prepare a stock-transfer plan before an outage
Cold storage for restaurant clients often serves as emergency backup. If that’s the case, decide how staff will move food before the main equipment fails. List the priority products, available carts, responsible manager and the checks required before stock enters the temporary unit. A clear sequence is faster and safer than making those decisions beside a warming walk-in. For planned peaks, you can estimate the capacity you’ll need by adding up cases, racks or pallets; don’t forget to include aisle space. Also allow space for deliveries arriving while kitchen staff are picking stock. Once the unit is in service, brief every shift on access, door discipline and alarm escalation. Portable storage should simplify the operation. It should not create a second set of informal rules that only one manager understands.
Tailored cold storage for demanding industries
Meet every regulation and deadline with risk-proof containers – monitored, validated and supported around the clock.
Why rent a restaurant cold room from TITAN?
Most restaurant clients choose to rent from us rather than buy cold storage containers – though we also sell cold storage units if that suits your long-term plans. The main reason businesses choose to rent is flexibility: get the space you need for as long as you want it, then reassess. Other benefits include:
The latest tech – our flexible rental model means you can benefit from new developments without delay. Switching from a purchased model to an upgraded version can be costly.
Reduced financial outlay – no major capital expenditure up front, just a predictable monthly cost.
Maximum uptime – all ArcticStores rentals include 24/7 breakdown assistance during your rental period.
Experience – we have decades of cold storage experience, with thousands of units in use worldwide.

FAQs about Restaurant Cold Storage
Can a restaurant rent a walk-in cooler temporarily?
Yes. A portable ArcticStore can add walk-in chilled or frozen space for a renovation, opening, seasonal peak or equipment failure.
What is the smallest restaurant cold storage unit?
ArcticStore is available in a space-saving 10ft size as well as 20ft and 40ft models.
Can the unit be placed behind a restaurant?
It may be possible if the area has suitable power, a level load-bearing surface, safe staff access and enough room for delivery. We review the proposed site before delivery.
Does rental include maintenance?
We look after the cold storage unit as part of the rental agreement, so you do not need a separate third-party maintenance contract for it.
